Variety Plant Trials Group Why Plant Trials?
Group Leader: Peg Wastell
Meetings: At monthly SCVMGA meetings to distribute plants and seeds; other times as needed by the group or trial members.
Goals: To trial specific vegetable, herb, and flower varieties, evaluate and share information. Evaluation data includes germination rate, growing habit, flavor, size, color and texture. Results from data collected will be compiled and reported in SCVMGA 'Sprinklings' newsletter, the WIMGA newsletter and local newspapers. Results are used to recommend varieties to gardeners based on best growth performance in our western WI area.

Goals: Identify plants in St Croix Valley natural communities.
Learn to integrate natives into our sites & create pollinator habitat. Maintain demo garden.Interact with other local groups to expand our experiential opportunities.
